We drove down to Washington D.C. together with food and supplies to support the A16 protests against the World Bank. When many of our bicycles, food and cooking supplies were illegally confiscated by police on the eve of the demonstration we made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches instead.
In the fall of 2000 I helped found the first Brooklyn Food Not Bombs. We shared meals weekly in McCaren Park and advertised in both Polish and English.
I became involved with the ABC No Rio based chapter of Food Not Bombs again in 2002 in the lead up to the World Economic Forum protests in NYC.
In 2009 a Bed-Stuy and Bushwick FNB chapters were founded in Brooklyn both of which I have supported through the present day, or until they became inactive.
